wiora Channel Partners is a team of software business professionals that provides executive advisory and channel development services to vendors of IT solutions. We focus on go-to-market and scale-to-grow strategies. Our clients work with us to benefit from our in-depth market and technology expertise and to leverage our wide span business network. A special attention of our team is the creation and expansion of global sales channels. We mostly get engaged when our clients aim to enter into a new market or when they are in a startup phase as a business or with a business unit within the company. We also get engaged to help on exit strategies and M&A activities.
We created wiora Channel Partners to leverage the experience our team gained over the years and make it accessible to a broader group of businesses. The company was founded in 2006 by Volker Wiora and Ilga Gröschel after they have left Altiris, a then leading IT management solutions vendor that since was acquired by Symantec. Both were very material to help Altiris grow from a niche player to a global industry leader. Volker Wiora served as the VP, EMEA and CIO. He established the company in 6 European countries and held executive positions on a global level. Ilga Gröschel was a member of the European management team from the beginning and served in various roles throughout the years. In 2012 we expanded our leadership team with Karl-Martin Haaf who directed the German speaking channel sales teams of industry leaders like HP Software and Compaq for many years. Starting 2013 we expand our presence to more countries across Europe, starting with partners in the UK and Scandinavia.
Besides our in-house experience we also leverage complementary skills and values that our business partners worldwide provide. We involve other advisory firms and service providers into our engagements on a regular basis. Our key business partners are SageCreek Partners, USA, EastStep Consulting, Hong Kong and CatCap, Germany. We also work with a network of marketing agencies, legal firms, recruiters, software development outsourcing firms, value add distributors and other players in the IT space.
